![]() LiPo cut-off voltage is sensed automatically, and only has settings for 2S and 3S batteries. You can only adjust two settings: (1) Select "LiPo" or "Nixxx" (2) Switch between brake "on" or "off". Here's my take on deciphering the the instructions. Instructions for the Mag8 25A and 30A controllers appear to be the same. I have a recent, TowerPro Mag8 25A controller. ![]() Hi maybe this info might be of some help, Take care, Chellie ![]() So I guess my question is, does anyone know of a way to program the 25A ESC that comes with the TowerPro bundles such that it forces it into 2S mode? Either that, or maybe someone can point out something that I'm doing wrong that I could change and thus avoid the issue altogether. That works, but I would really like to get 2S LiPos working correctly in the plane, since it just doesn't need the 3S power. The work-around is to simply set it to NiMH mode and then just be sure not to over-fly it. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be working in my case. From what I can understand reading the very poorly translated instruction sheet, the ESC is supposed to auto-detect either the 2S or 3S LiPo that's connected. However, when I try and use a 2S LiPo in it, the LVC keeps kicking in and killing the engine as soon as I begin to throttle up (or at least, that's all I can figure is happening). I have no problems when I'm using a 3S LiPo or a NiMH battery with the 25A brushless ESC. However, starting with a brushless conversion I did on my Dad's cheap-O Piper Cub, I've run into a problem with programming the ESC. I've purchased several of the TP combos from Hobby City, and have mostly been quite pleased with them. ![]()
